Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was born on Suq Al-Lail in the city of Makkah. This historic street is traditionally recognized as the location of the house where the Prophet (SAW) was born in the Year of the Elephant (570 CE). Because of its historical importance, the site has long been associated with one of the most significant events in Islamic history.
The birthplace of the Prophet (SAW) remained well known throughout Islamic history. In later centuries, a library known as Maktabat Makkah Al-Mukarramah was established at the location traditionally identified as his birthplace.
Although the structure has changed over time, the site continues to hold great historical value for Muslims interested in the life of the Prophet (SAW) and the early history of Islam.
