Hazrat Hasaan ibn e Sabit (RA) is regarded as the first poet of Islam. He was a well-known companion of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and was already famous for his poetry in Arabia before the advent of Islam. After accepting Islam, he used his gift of words to defend the religion and the honor of the Prophet (S.A.W).

He is best known as “Shair-e-Rasool” (The Poet of the Prophet). His verses were a form of spiritual defense against the mockery and false propaganda of the enemies of Islam.
