Detailed Explanation

The grave of Hazrat Zaid bin Harithah (R.A) is located in Jordan, near the site of the famous Battle of Mutah. This battle took place in the village of Mutah, which is in present-day Karak Governorate in southern Jordan.

Hazrat Zaid bin Harithah (R.A) was one of the most beloved companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He was the only companion mentioned by name in the Holy Qur’an (Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:37). He was once a freed slave but became like a son to the Prophet (PBUH), who treated him with love and honor.

In 8 AH (629 CE), Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) appointed Zaid (R.A) as the commander of the Muslim army sent to confront the Byzantine forces at Mutah. The army faced a much larger enemy force. Despite the overwhelming odds, Hazrat Zaid (R.A) bravely led the army and was martyred in battle. His martyrdom is a shining example of courage and devotion to Islam.
