Who led the first Sariyah in Islam?

This event took place in the early days after the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ migrated to Madinah. The Sariyah was sent to a place called Rabigh to monitor and challenge a Quraysh caravan. Although there was no major fighting, it marked the beginning of Muslim military action under the leadership of the Prophet ﷺ.
