Which of the following device used at the Physical Layer?

A Hub is a device that operates at the Physical Layer. It takes the incoming signal from one port and copies it to all other ports. It does not look at any data or make decisions about where to send it.

Main features of a hub:

• Works with electrical signals, not data


• Does not filter or process data


• Broadcasts the signal to all connected devices


• Simple and low-cost hardware

Because of these functions, hubs are considered Physical Layer devices. Other devices like routers and switches work at higher layers of the OSI model.
