Masjid e Quba, located on the outskirts of Madinah, is also known as Masjid e Taqwa (the Mosque of Piety). This masjid holds a special place in Islamic history, as it was the first mosque built by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ after his migration (Hijrah) from Makkah to Madinah. The name "Masjid e Taqwa" is derived from the Quran, in which Allah praises the foundation of this mosque as being based on piety.

In Surah At-Tawbah (9:108), Allah says:

لَمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ

Translation: "Certainly a mosque founded on piety from the first day is more worthy that you stand in it..." (Qur’an 9:108)

The Prophet ﷺ used to visit Masjid e Quba regularly, especially on Saturdays, and highly encouraged others to do so. It is reported in Sahih Muslim that offering two Rak'ahs of prayer in Masjid e Quba earns the reward of an Umrah.

Masjid e Quba remains a key religious site for pilgrims and is a symbol of sincerity, unity, and the establishment of the Muslim community in Madinah.
