Jabl-e-Safa, also known as Mount Safa, is the historic location in Makkah where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) first openly called the people of Quraysh to Islam. This event took place after the command from Allah (SWT) was revealed in Surah Ash-Shu’ara (26:214): “And warn your nearest relatives.” The Prophet (PBUH) ascended Jabl-e-Safa and called out to each tribe by name, urging them to accept the Oneness of Allah and abandon idolatry.

Years later, after the peaceful conquest of Makkah in 8 AH, the Prophet (PBUH) again addressed the people from the same location. This moment symbolized the completion of his mission in Makkah, as many residents of the city entered Islam after witnessing his mercy and forgiveness.

Jabl-e-Safa remains a sacred historical site in Islam. It is located within the precincts of Masjid al-Haram and is also part of the Sa’i ritual in Hajj and Umrah, walked between Safa and Marwah in memory of the struggle of Hazrat Hajar (RA). However, in Seerat-un-Nabi, its significance is further emphasized due to its association with the Prophet’s first public dawah (invitation to Islam).
