The Conquest of Makkah (Fath Makkah) is one of the most significant events in Islamic history, marking the peaceful liberation of Makkah from idol worship and its return to pure monotheism. This event occurred in the year 630 A.D (8 AH).
After years of persecution of Muslims in Makkah, followed by their migration to Madinah, tensions continued between the Quraysh and Muslims despite the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah (628 A.D). When the Quraysh violated the treaty by supporting attacks on a Muslim-allied tribe, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) marched toward Makkah with an army of 10,000 Muslims.

The idols around the Kaaba were destroyed, and the city was established as the spiritual center of Islam forever.
