Hazrat Israfil (A.S) will blow the trumpet (Sur) two times on the Day of Judgment. This is a major event in Islamic eschatology and marks the beginning and the resurrection phases of Qiyamah (Judgment Day). The first blow will cause the death of all living beings, and the second blow will bring them back to life for accountability before Allah.
The Quran refers to this event in several verses, including Surah Az-Zumar (39:68): "And the trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will fall dead, except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and behold, they will be standing, looking on."
Although the Quran does not mention Hazrat Israfil (A.S) by name, Hadith literature confirms that he is the angel assigned to this task. The two trumpet blasts are known as:
The First Blow (Nafkh-e-Oola) – Causes universal death.
The Second Blow (Nafkh-e-Saniyah) – Causes resurrection of all souls.
This belief is central to Islamic teachings about the afterlife and the power of Allah to give life and take it away. Hazrat Israfil (A.S) is said to be waiting with the trumpet at his lips, ready to blow it when Allah commands.
Hazrat Israfil (A.S) will blow the trumpet two times.
First blow: causes death of all living beings.
Second blow: resurrection for the Day of Judgment.
Mentioned in Surah Az-Zumar (39:68).
