Hazrat Hafsa bint Umar (R.A.), the noble wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and daughter of Hazrat Umar ibn Al-Khattab (R.A.), passed away in the month of Shaban in the year 45 A.H. in Madinah. She was buried in Jannat-ul-Baqi, the graveyard where many prominent companions of the Prophet (PBUH) are also laid to rest.

Hazrat Hafsa (R.A.) is remembered not only for her position as one of the Mothers of the Believers but also for her critical role in the preservation of the Qur’an.
