Hazrat Isa (AS), known as Jesus in Christianity, was a Messenger of Allah specifically sent to the Children of Israel (Bani Israel) to guide them towards the true message of Tawheed (belief in One Allah) and righteous living. The Holy Qur’an mentions in Surah Aal-Imran (3:49) and Surah As-Saff (61:6) that Isa (AS) came confirming the Torah revealed before him and giving glad tidings of the coming of the final Prophet, Muhammad (SAW).
