Hazrat Yaqoob (A.S.) was the father of Hazrat Yousaf (A.S.), and their story is one of the most touching narratives found in the Holy Qur’an. When Hazrat Yousaf (A.S.) was separated from his father due to the jealousy of his brothers, Hazrat Yaqoob (A.S.) was deeply grieved. Later, with the return of Hazrat Yousaf (A.S.), his eyesight was restored by the will of Allah, when Yousaf (A.S.) sent his shirt and instructed his brothers to place it over their father's face.
